Long Road

The road is long. And the road is not a nicely paved path, there are potholes and bumps along the way. It's not always a smooth road. Sometimes you can set your cruise control and zip right down the road, but sometimes you've got to go a little slow and proceed with caution. Sometimes there are curves in the the road, and sometimes the road is straight. Sometime there are other cars on the road, but sometimes you're on it alone.

But you're not completely alone. Although you may not realize it, there is always a passenger in your car. Someone that guides you and helps direct you. Someone to navigate. Someone that's been down this road before and knows what to expect along the way.

I know for me the road of life definitely has it's ups and downs. But I also rest in knowing that my Savior, Jesus Christ, is always with me, even though I don't always necessarily feel like He is. Knowing that my path is already laid out and that I won't be given more than I can handle is comforting. Has what I've gone through in the past been tough? Sure. But it could be far worse, and I know that I can handle whatever God has prepared for me because I'm not alone.

I would say we're the passengers on a bus, and JC is the driver. People get on and off at different points of the journey. We have an idea of where we're going, but not exactly how we're getting there. Mostly we're just along for the ride.

Very well put. And a great picture to go with it.
