I did it!

I officially, unofficially did my first photo shoot today.

After an old high school buddy of mine announced that she was engaged I asked if I could take their engagement pictures. She's an amateur photographer like myself, so I knew she'd be all over it and would be patient as well.

Plus I didn't charge.

Upon her agreeial (is that even a word?), I asked another friend that is getting into photography if she'd like to join me. I was honestly really hoping that she'd be able to. Not only for help and ideas, but also to get her practice too.

See, I learned to share.

So this morning we all met at CSUS to shoot so photos and witness some love. Mandy and I accidentally, not on purpose even wore the same colored shirt, green.

So, here's a sneak peek at what I got...
Later I'll post some of the pictures from my "practice" photo shoot with Kaitlin. She's a good subject!

All the pics you put on facebook looked great! I am super impressed and slightly jealous at how good you & Mandy are! We are so thankful that you offered to do that for us... such a blessing.

So... can I get a disc of photos from you soon? Or will you be editing for awhile? I'd actually like to have some of the untouched photos too, if possible, so I can play around with them on Photoshop. See if I can figure some stuff out.

I love taking pictures, but I also love being in pictures. Which is difficult to do when you're the photographer. So that's why I'm thrilled to have such great pictures of Adam & I! When you pass your camera off to someone for a snapshot, 9 times out of 10 it's too great.

THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!

You are very welcome!

Thanks for being my guinea pigs. :)

Yes, I'll get the pictures (edited and unedited) on a disc tomorrow. I edited a few more tonight.

I think once the craziness dies down you, Mandy, and I should take a short drive somewhere and just play around with out cameras and have fun. That's the best way to learn and practice, to just do it.

How does that sound?
